Interior Design

“Some people look for a beautiful place, others make a place beautiful.”

― Hazrat Inayat Khan

Interior design is both an art and science. We at Design Convergence (DC) understand the importance of this union. We strive to create a healthier, a more aesthetically pleasing environment for the clients, also ensuring that the space is build using the rules of architecture and the mathematics of projectiles and angles. Our designs incorporate principles of vaastu shastra, combining all the five elements of nature and balancing them with the man and the material.

'The Beginning is the most important part of the work' - Plato

Our design process is structured yet simple, where we go on the journey with the client in realizing their dreams.

Conversation

We start with the most important phase, that is knowing the client and the complete environment or space; the individuals, their live style, needs and how they want to be perceived in the world.

Visualization

In next step we go in depth; gathering more details, photos and measurements. We map the needs and create scaled plan views of the space. These preliminary plans are discussed and refined with client's inputs, which lead us to the next step.

Detailing

Now we start playing with palettes of materials and finishes that will define the personality of the spaces. Detailed plans are again discussed with clients and upon finalization the execution starts.

Delivery

The last but certainly the most exciting step is when all the elements start getting together. DC team orchestrates the creation & installation of all the components, merging them smoothly with the environment and creating a lovely living space for the client that feels his own personality.

A little history of interior designing

Interior Designing has always been one of the strongest fundamentals of our sanskriti. According to Rig Veda, Vishwakarma has been defined as a 'Personification of Creation and Abstract form of the Creator God', also known as 'Principal Architect of the Universe'. Temple, city squares, homes, and even the pyre of sacrifice in Hindu shastra have been proposed to be designed as per the science of interior designing, which has been propagated by Vishwakarma.
